Scammers and charlatans like few in…

Scammers and charlatans like few in this world. I have been waiting for a payment from them since January…after a few copy and paste emails, they now stopped replying. Needs escalating to authorities.
Go to CEX, avoid GamExchange at all costs, they’ll only steal your stuff

Very disappointing service.

After a trade in for cash of funko pops in December (see my other review), although gamexchange took weeks, they eventually paid, so I thought they must have caught up with the backlog they told me they had and all was good again…. So I sent in my PlayStation console for a cash trade in. What a mistake! It’s now been 2 months and no payment received. I’ve been in touch with trading standards for breach of contract.
I just want the money I’m owed or my console and games returning to me. I will not be using these guys again, which is a shame because they used to be a great company.

Scam

Unfortunately need to add to the list of negative experiences. Sold stuff beginning of January stll no payment now no reply looks like they are scamming people now will escalate to trading standards. Actually managed to sell 2 lots of stuff to CeX and been paid in the time these charlatans have given me the run around

Sent them a game 2+ months ago, still waiting for payment

Traded in a game over 2 months ago and I'm still waiting on payment. It appears they've also blocked my main email address because when I try to send messages from that account (asking about my payment as politely and respectfully as possible), it fails instantly. However, I've had no problem sending the same message from my secondary email.
Massive shame because they've been nothing but reliable and helpful in the past, not to mention they were offering some of the best prices around. When it came to this trade in, and I first enquired about why it was taking so long for payment, I was told they were busy sorting out a massive amount of POPs which is totally fine, these things happen and it can really back up the orders list.
But after 2 months of waiting, messages that went from acknowledged to ignored to denied altogether, I feel really let down and cheated by a company I once relied on and felt comfortable with.
Will update if I do eventually get paid, but not holding my breath.

welli do youtube so decided to order from here to see hwta i got u can see on snedz collects youtube anyways cheap price but gave it 3 stars due to packaging jiffy bag for boxed n64 no good box is damaged a wee bit should have used a box so i got my item but others seem to have isuues honest review

Slow paymeny

Just wanted to put a review on as used Gamexchange a while ago and processed order very quickly. Sent another order recently during December and although it took longer than normal I did receive my payment, so if you haven't received payment in the usual timescales, be patient it does arrive eventually and at the agreed amount. Merry Christmas 🎅

No payment received.

Sold two lots of games to them for £102.15 and have not recieved payment for them. They do not reply to emails and have no telephone number. Seem like a scam. I have just checked this company was dissolved in 2012 even though they are still trading with that name online. They then changed to Techtrades and they have a separate website that looks almost exactly the same that dissolved in 2020. The company number that is at the bottom of Gamexchange email that I got is for a company called GXETRADES LTD.

Poor communication and no payment in sight

Unfortunately having to write this review regarding order 323852

It’s now 1 month since they took receipt of my package and status is stuck on trade processed which means they’ve got my goods but haven’t paid me

unbelievably disappointed keep saying due to holidays due to POP trade in. not good enough no one should be waiting one month for payment


Updated to 3 stars as payment finally arrived today after sending another email but unfortunately I can’t put it past 3 stars due to the time and effort it’s took to receive the funds it’s a shame as they’ve always been the betterr company for trade in’s and paid within the time scale they always gave.

Do not use

Do not buy from here, I do not know how they can still promote a 5 star rating on trustpilot on the website. No response via e-Mail or social media and seems recently that this has been an experience shared with many. Do not make the same mistake I did and do not trust the 5 star rating on trustpilot.

DO NOT USE

My trade in was processed on 10th January 2024.
I have still not received my money !!
Sent 16 direct messages & 4 emails. Which after saying they were behind in orders they have just stopped responding all together.
DISGUSTING & BASICALLY A SCAM !!
NEEDS REPORTING !!

Worst company I have ever used

Worst company I have ever used! Still awaiting payment for my items which I was quoted 3-10 working days max. I'm now being told 4-6 weeks due to delays however company seems quite happy to keep making a profit without paying what it's due. I have reported to UK Police also worth noting the company is registered to a London address when it shows Blackburn on its profile. I would avoid at all costs. Should have used Music Magpie instead!

A good experience buying from this shop

Bought a few xbox 360 games from this company, they were in pretty good condition (cases and discs) with the manuals included. They also arrived within 3 days of purchase which was nice.

Their stock of older retro games isn't big at the moment sadly but I know they're a small company, I hope it increases as they grow. And would certainly buy from them in future, at least they don't send broken or wrong games like CEX.

Excellent service

Just used this company for the first time and am delighted. The game was in great condition as described(although due to only a jiffy bag being used, the outer box did get a bit of a ding in transit), at a great price, and dispatched within a couple of hours of ordering. Will definitely use again, and have no hesitation in recommending them fully. Great stuff.

Purchased a game was informed a day later it was dispatched, four weeks later and numerous emails sent without response nothing delivered!!! Asked for a refund and not acknowledged so thanks to PayPal I received a full refund.

FANTASTIC SERVICE

I was sceptical when ordering due to some negatives reviews when I typed the company in to Google. However, I could not have been happier. I ordered the game midnight on Tuesday and by Friday morning my game had arrived. Amazing service, goes to prove Google isn't always right! I'll shop here again in the future rather than using the larger companies.

I traded in one of my old PS4 Games for cash

I traded in one of my old PS4 Games Watch Dogs Legion - I was given £2 extra to cover the cost of the postage which was great CS & shipped the game to their address. The time for the refund was a bit slower than expected but that was no problem as I got a great price - better than ebay for being paid for the game via Paypal in cash. Received payment today so very happy. Thanks!

Used numerous times now and will continue...

I have used numerous times now and highly recommend! They provide free shipping service for trade-ins and sort through arrivals and sending out payments very quickly. They also keep you updated throughout the whole process with regular updates. I'm getting ready to use again. Such a great guaranteed sell. No hassle or worries.

Disgusting company

Disgusting company. They don't pay for your items. I sent in 2 consoles months ago and still not been paid. They are ignoring all emails, messages and social media posts so leave me no choice other than trading standards, and police for theft.

Excellent experience.

Excellent experience.
Traded in over 20 pops, got the full value quoted within hours of arrival at their depot. I then purchased several pops which were in my hands two days later.
Amazing service, quality and comms.
Would highly recommend.
